Wavell State High School recognises as its prime obligation, the provision of access to an appropriate educational service for students whose principal place of residence is within the school’s catchment area.
Because of enrolment capacity and growth, Wavell State High School may be unable to meet this obligation in the future unless action is taken to manage enrolments. The Principal must restrict the enrolment of out-of-catchment students to ensure in-catchment students can enrol at their local state school without requiring additional facilities.
As the school has an enrolment capacity of approximately 1800
students, enrolment applications are considered based on the conditions outlined in the School Enrolment Management Plan.
Students who reside in the local catchment area are able to enrol at Wavell SHS. The school's catchment map is available from EdMap.
All students who enrol at Wavell SHS are expected to follow the conditions in the Enrolment Agreement (PDF, 97 KB). This agreement sets out the responsibilities of the student, parents or carers and the school staff about the education of students enrolled at Wavell State High School.
