BYOx - Hardware and Software Minimum Specifications

Wavell SHS recommends that any BYOx device meets the following minimum specifications to enable suitability for curriculum based activities. (Note: These minimum specifications will be reviewed annually to ensure curriculum requirements continue to be met.)

The minimum specifications provided reflect the specifications of devices that are used at Wavell SHS, so as to ensure comparability. Wavell IT Services technicians will attempt to enable connectivity of devices which meet the minimum specifications, and also assuming there are no technical or other issues outside of their control.

Note: An attempt may be made to connect other devices which may be deemed suitable for curriculum purposes, but parents and students should be aware that connectivity may not always be possible.

Yosemite 10.10.4 and El Capitan will work. Education Queensland's BYOx team and Bridgepoint continually investigate and trial technical solutions to enable new Mac operating systems to on-board.)
