Wavell High’s long tradition of promoting and pursuing excellence led to the establishment of a Rugby League School of Excellence program in 2001.
The program has been successful in achieving National (2002) and State (2002 & 2003) titles and providing pathways and opportunities associated with the sport of Rugby League. The program is seen as a stimulus to encourage students in their studies while giving them valuable life, sporting and inter-personal skills.
Applicants to the program must meet the criteria outlined in the Wavell Behaviour Management Process.

Applicants to the program must be available to participate in all of the school R.L. competitions.
